My church does not have a Ladies Bible Study. We have WMF and Ladies Ministry. They each have set functions that they plan and prepare for. Good ministries; but not a Bible study.
Would any of you bloggers (the study would be for anyone, I'm just blogging so I addressed the bloggers) from my church be interested in meeting twice a month for Bible Study? We could take turns meeting in a different home. That way not one person is carrying the load. I think it should be the same day of the week each time but maybe the time can be flexible depending on who's home it is in. Refreshments could be brought by some one different or just let the host offer refreshments as well. Some thing simple. My husband wants me home in the evening, however he wouldn't mind me going to a Bible Study if it was an occassional thing. By being flexible with the time more people can join us. (those that work and those that don't)
Miss Julie could we use your Bible Studies? If so, should we have one person give the lesson each time or since the studies are obtainable via computer the host could also be responsible for giving the lesson. That puts a heavy load on the host but it wouldn't be all the time. Once every two months depending on how many we have.
What do you think?

Ladies Bible Study is ALWAYS fun . . . but I would suggest that you talk to your Pastor & Pastor's wife about organizing it. If not, there is a chance that the devil will get in the middle of it and 'stir' things up. Believe it or not, EVERY ministry needs godly accountability IF they are going to be spiritually fruitful and protected.
You are welcome to use my studies and so is your church. If the Pastor is not for a Ladies Bible Study at this time, you could print them out and do them yourself. Many people have e-mailed me and told me that they are doing this this year!
Love You, Julie
Robin,
Can you give me a call sometime today? Anytime after 10am would be good, because I need to go over some school stuff with Zach. Or I can call you...just tell me a good time. : )
I'm enjoying your blog -- thanks for your encouragement at mine! I don't mind being the mean mom -- but I don't mind cuddling with my babies, either! :-)
Good luck on your Bible study. It is SO important to stay in His word! Way to lead the way with that!
