If you are a male or if you are a female with definite ideas of what shouldn't be aired publicly you may want to skip this post.
I should be used to this by now, I am after all 43 years old. However, I always seem to be caught off guard. You know the days when you seem unusually tired for no reason, or the angry button is incredibly easy to push. Or when circumstances make you cry. There may be a real bonified reason to cry but just a few tears not the gut wrenching belly bawl. You walk around wondering what is wrong with me. Then after a trip to the rest room, you say, "Oh, I should have known."
Or you get half way into town, which is 45 mins away and realize you forgot to stock your purse. As you hear yourself ask your 17 yr. old if she has any supplies you also hear in the back of your head the conversation you had with the same child last week: "Yes, I have some thing but don't you think you're old enough now to keep up with this things?"
This one is my favorite. The day starts and you are in taxi mode and running errands when oh I better find a bathroom. Upon arriving to the public restroom you discover that you should have remembered much earlier. I remember in high school grabbing a jacket and tying at around my waist, we all did. Any one observant enough knew with out a doubt why the jacket was now around your waist. Any how, what at age 43 do you do? Do you grab the cell phone and call your daughter to bring your jacket or do you just repair as much of the damage as possible and return to your car with your head held high and a smile on your face like this was just exactly how you had planned your day?!
I do believe that there should be at least ONE day of the month that each lady can stay in her jammies, eat choc and watch chick flicks and dare any one to ask when dinner is. :)
Michael said that if that day falls on a Saturday he'd be glad to accommodate.
He wasn't much impressed with this post. If you find this offense or not in good taste please tell me!!! I will remove it.
Am I the only one at this age that still doesn't seem to get it? Maybe I can claim just to busy to remember. Senility before menopause doesn't seem real fun!

Menopause isn't any fun, either. Maybe it's just denial. "If I don't THINK about it, maybe it won't happen." And I find nothing inappropriate in this blog. It's real life! One thing I love about you, Robin, is that you're 100% REAL - no "fluff."
LOL! You had me cracking up! You know, I honestly can't think of anytime I've needed a jacket around my waist... I'm too paranoid and check every hour! :)
You make me laugh. Been there done that, lets just say we are too busy to remember what day of the month it is. I'll second that for you. Does this make you feel better. I just know immediately after the fact, I go "oh that explains the last day or 2" Will we ever get it.
